Lodore Falls wedding photography

I just love the Lake District, it is my go to place whenever I get some down time. So when Lily and Lee contacted me about wanting to have their wedding at Lodore Falls in the Lake District- I had to say yes! The chance to shoot some Lodore Falls wedding photography for them and make some fantastic photos was a great day.

We had a fantastic FaceTime call at the point of their wedding enquiry with me. They spoke so passionately about their love for walks in the Lake District, so when Lee proposed it was a natural choice for them to find a wedding venue in The Lakes. Their favourite mountain is Cat Bells climbing up from the western shore of Derwentwater. This is one of the quieter mountains away from the usual busy places of Windermere and Ambleside. As they climbed Cat Bells they could see a large hotel on the opposite side of Derwentwater which is the stunning Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa. Lodore Falls is one of the Lake District’s premier wedding venues, so with views over the lake and Cat bells it was the obvious wedding location for Lily and Lee.

So Ladore Falls was booked, Lily and Lee also decided to move house, so what could come next? Lily fell pregnant so the wedding plans were ramped up and all the final arrangements were made at speed! One of the nicest touches at their day was the baby gender reveal. Not even Lily and Lee knew if the baby was a boy or girl so a paper confetti cannon had been made with either blue for a boy or pink for a girl confetti- it was amazing to see their reactions when it went off!
