I work at the very best Yorkshire wedding venues and this is never truer than when I get to capture wedding photography at The Devonshire Hotel & Spa. Situated at the southern edge of the famous Yorkshire Dales, on the Bolton Abbey Estate. The 17^thcentury Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa is a charming country house hotel in 30,000 acres of picturesque Yorkshire countryside. This handsome Edwardian house enjoys a rich history, having hosted famous poets, artists and royalty and now maybe your wedding!

The Devonshire Arms specialise in elopements and intimate weddings of anything from 2 to 30 guests and offer a range of flexible wedding packages. For weddings, you get to choose from their many luxurious beautifully appointed function rooms. The first of these is The Burlington. This restaurant space and conservatory is decorated in eclectic pink and can accommodate up to 30 seated guests. It has views that open out onto the Italian Garden, so in summer months you can blend indoor and outdoor spaces.

The Hartingdon Room is a delightful light and airy room with a contemporary feel. For wedding breakfasts, they offer one large oval table for up to 20 seated guests. The Barden Room is also light with fresh décor; it can accommodate up to 12 guests and can be adjoined to The Hartingdon Room to create a larger flowing space.

When I capture wedding photography at The Devonshire Arms, my favourite room is The Clifford Room. It has luxurious duck egg blue and gold décor, with antique furniture & chandeliers, its beautiful interiors make great backdrops in my images. It can comfortably host 30 guests on three round tables or 17 guests on one large oval table.

When I capture wedding photography at The Devonshire Arms, I love to whisk my couples away for a few minutes for a mini photoshoot around the beautiful gardens and get romantic sunset images of them set against the stunning Yorkshire Dales.

Wedding Photography at Devonshire Arms

When it comes to food at your wedding you couldn’t be in safer hands. Devonshire Arms Hotel has an award-winning restaurant, a charming brasserie bar and a sumptuous cocktail lounge. Their wine cellar is so well stocked that they regularly host Master of Wine dinners. Their team of talented chefs will work with you to create the perfect wedding menu that will really impress your guests, where possible sourcing fresh food from their very own Victorian kitchen garden. And if you or any of your guests are keen gardeners, they’re always keen to share a few gardening tips!

If you’re a couple who are serious about luxury, excellent service and attention to detail, Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa is the Yorkshire wedding venue for you. Nothing is ever too much trouble for these guys, not even for Yorkshire wedding photographers.

For guest accommodation, Devonshire Arms have 44 beautifully appointed rooms, many with four poster beds. They range from suites (the perfect place for wedding preparations, where I take those all important morning of the wedding images) right through to large and standard size doubles.

There’s also 3 charming cottages on the Bolton Abbey Estate that between them can accommodate up to 20 guests. The ability to offer accommodation to all of the wedding guests makes The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Sap a fantastic destination wedding venue.
