Hotel Mediterraneo Wedding – Sorrento
If five-star boutique hotel luxury on the Sorrento Coast is what you’re looking for in a venue then it has to be a Hotel Mediterraneo wedding. This luxury hotel is set on a cliff in Sant’Agnello, a quiet suburb of Sorrento. It has recently renovated rooms and suites, a newly refurbished luxury spa, a large outdoor pool and aromantic Mediterranean gardens. And all this with spectacular views of The Bay of Naples. Can you think of a better backdrop for your wedding photos?
With all this on offer, it’s no wonder that Hotel Mediterraneo is a much-loved wedding venue with us Sorrento wedding photographers
Hotel Mediterraneo weddings offer a number of events spaces both indoors and out that are ideal for weddings. You can also get married in Sorrento Cloisters or Villa Fondi then go to Hotel Mediterraneo for your evening reception on the Sky Bar.

Their modern terrace is airy and spacious and has fantastic views overlooking the bay. Or for a different vibe you can choose the traditional Arenceto Secret Garden. This traditional Italian garden is rich in lush greenery with gorgeous pops of colour and scent from the orange and lemon trees. The perfect place for an aperitif.
For indoor spaces, their elegant dining room and luxurious Vesuvio Restaurant both enjoy unspoilt views of the bay. This sea front restaurant is located on the higher floor of the hotel and is the perfect place for an a la carte gala wedding meal.
For your evening party at The Aqua Pool lounge, is a contemporary wide wooden decked area that after dark is beautiful lit and doubles up as the perfect dancefloor. The ideal place for a stylish and upmarket party next to the glittering water of the pool and under a canopy of stars!
Lastly, you can celebrate your wedding in Hotel Mediterraneo’s stunning rooftop Vista Sky Bar. This rooftop bar offers the wow factor and is easily the most Instagram-able place to be in Sorrento as the sunsets are simply unforgettable.

Wedding photography at Hotel Mediterraneo
As an experienced destination wedding photographer, one of the things I love best when capturing wedding photography at Hotel Mediterraneo, is how well they understand destination weddings. They offer a great service before and after the wedding as well as on the day.
The night before the wedding guests are invited to enjoy their famous Vista Sky Bar, this rooftop bar with spectacular views over the Bay of Naples, is amazing. Without a doubt my favourite bar in Sorrento, there’s a saying when you travel, ‘go where the locals go’ and Vista Sky Bar is a renowned local hotspot. The perfect place to enjoy a live chilled out DJ set whilst sipping cocktails on their panoramic terrace that enjoys 360 degrees of stunning views.
Hotel Mediterraneo’s wedding planners also charter boats, and offer their own 14 metre yacht Valeri, with a skipper, who can take you two on a tour of the beautiful Amalfi coast. Or they can arrange the hire of larger boats if you want to go exploring with your wedding party the day before or after your wedding celebration.
The experienced events co-ordinators at Hotel Mediterraneo talk couples through every aspect of planning their wedding. Taking care of every little detail so that on the day everything runs smoothly. It’s fair to say that booking your Sorrento wedding with Hotel Mediterraneo is placing it in safe and experienced hands. Giving you the peace of mind to fully immerse yourself in your beautiful wedding in Italy.

Destination wedding photography at Hotel Mediterraneo
The last selling point of getting married in Italy that I want to mention is that it is just a 2-hour 30-minute flight from the UK. And there are daily flights to Naples from six different UK airports. The transfer time from Naples to Sorrento is just over an hour’s drive.
When I capture destination wedding photography, I like to travel to the wedding with the wedding party. It gives me a chance to get to know them, so that by the time it comes to me photographing them, they’re totally relaxed around me. This approach always ensures that I get the most authentic images that really capture the emotions and tell the story of the day with beautiful and timeless images.

So, if you’re thinking of having a destination wedding in Italy, I hope this has been helpful to you. Hotel Mediterraneo really is a stunning wedding venue but you don’t have to take my word for it. The most fun part of planning a destination wedding is getting to travel and visit amazing wedding venues in beautiful places. So have fun with it.
