The story of Sharon and Geoff goes back some 18 years and many impromptu meetings around the Bath and Bristol area. When they finally got together their lives have unfolded into a fabulous and fun story involving a fish and chip shop, a bus called Victoria and some great friends.

When Geoff popped the question it was in the company of those wonderful friends and was quite a sight – the entire group were dressed in Halloween costumes returning from their fancy dress outing. Geoff was dressed as Count Dracula and Sharon, rather appropriately, Dracula’s bride! This group of friends know how to travel and Victoria a fully restored 1967 Routemaster London double decker bus was their preferred method of transport on this day. The group decided to stop off in Warminster at the Crème de la Cod fish and chip shop for a bite to eat. Parking Victoria outside the chip shop the locals were surprised to see Dracula and his wife, a Mummy, Edwards Scissorhands and Marie Antoinette descending onto their local chippy. They were even more surprised to see Dracula get down onto one knee and propose to his beautiful bride right there in the chip shop.

So now you’re getting a feel for Sharon and Geoff and their great friends (let’s not forget about Victoria as well!).

Their wedding day was full of amazing speeches, old photos played over their favourite music tracks and lots of surprises that included a Wallace and Gromit statue in the Bristol Rovers colours and a surprise appearance from Nina Conti the famous ventriloquist. They got married in a small church in Queen Charlton near Bath then travelled to the Bath Assembly Rooms for their wedding breakfast. My approach for the day was to do my usual relaxed documentary style photography and just capture the moments as they unfolded.

I had an amazing time and I must thank Sharon and Geoff for letting me be part of their wedding. Below are a few photos from their day, please do leave a comment at the bottom of the blog as the day was such a magical affair.
