Chris and Anna's Wedding- Carlton Towers
The making of Chris and Anna’s wedding was a process that I was involved as soon as they had booked the venue. I recall our first meeting where they fell in love my photography style, then said “you’re also a nice bloke and that matters on your wedding day!”. From that comment onwards I knew we were going to have a good time. Their choice of wedding venue was spectacular, Carlton Towers one of Yorkshires hidden gems.
Carlton Towers Yorkshire Wedding Photography
Carlton Towers is the ancestral home of The Duke of Norfolk and currently home to Lord and Lady Gerald Fitzalan Howard and their family. You could say that this unique country house has everything a perfect historical building should have – magnificent architecture, a distinct family heritage and a beautiful tranquil setting surrounded by an estate kept going through the ages. The original house dates back to the 17th century and beyond. This makes it a wedding photographers playground with great images available throughout the day.
My documentary style of photography complimented the venue and it was great to be part of Chris and Anna’s day. They were both nervous about having their photographs taken, I kept them nice and relaxed by shooting on a long lens and blending in amongst the guests. They both agreed that having an engagement shoot prior to the wedding was a great idea. Here are a few photos from the day.
