It was great to return back to Italy for another amazing Romantic Italian Wedding with Marco and his team. This time I returned to Villa Baroncino, which is set in its own olive grove over looking Lake Trasimeno in Tuscany. Helen and Dave were a fantastic couple, if not slightly nervous of the camera but we had an amazing day. They chose to be married in Cortona then return back to Villa Baroncino for drinks with their friends.

Romantic Italian Weddings

The morning started off very relaxed with the girls drinking prosecco whilst they got their hair and make up done. The boys went off to Cortona to meet Dave to share a Peroni to calm his nerves!

Helen looked amazing in her dress, the detail in the dress was stunning and I knew she would melt Dave’s heart when he saw her for the first time. As the big doors of the Cortona’s Town Hall opened and Helen walked in Dave looked so proud and they looked perfect for each other.

We grabbed some photos around the Cortona main square then returned back to Villa Baroncino for drinks by the pool. Just as it was time for the traditional Italian wedding meal the sun started to set. As the guests found their seats we took some amazing photos in the nice calm evening light. Here are a few photos from the day. The main wedding photos can be seen by clicking on the Client Area of the website.

I look forward to returning back to Italy next year for more amazing photographs, follow me on Facebook for more of my work.

Mark is an extremely professional and competent photographer and to top it off he is very down to earth; exactly the person you want on your guest list.I was really surprised when we got the photos back as I don’t know how Mark managed to capture everything he did especially as we had asked for a ‘hands-off’ approach as we didn’t particularly like having our photos taken normally- not an easy challenge! At some weddings the photographer seems to take centre stage but Mark managed to work around us really well without us feeling anyone was dictating the day but us. Mark has so much energy too. In a 35 degree heat he was climbing up all kinds of hills and running ahead of us to take photos. (I secretly think he is training for a marathon – but he tells me otherwise). We now have beautiful photos not only of us and our friends but also the best possible views of Tuscany. Mark does his research beforehand and is full of ideas of possible backdrops but ultimately he listens to what you want from your photos.

The photos are exceptionally high quality, Mark is not your average Wedding photographer so if you want something really special to capture your wedding day Mark is your man. I absolutely 100% recommend Mark to anyone getting married in England or abroad. If you are getting married abroad it is obvioulsy really helpful to have someone who speaks English and willing to travel.

It is great now as all our friends can see our photos on this website and get special prints done very easily. After the wedding you have enough to do, what with writing thank you cards etc, so this is a helpful one-stop shop for your guests too who won’t hassle you for photos after the event.
